I've seen 2 movies in the last week. One was Batman Begins, which was fantastic. J and I got a dressed up and made a night of it, a real date, with dinner and everything. It was nice to do something besides work.
The other was _Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants_, which I saw with ktron. It made me miss having girl-friends to hang out with. A bunch of us in Iowa used to go to movies together and laugh our heads off. Sometimes before the movie we'd go swinging at the park. I miss all that. The movie was good for other reasons, too. I'm still not convinced Alexis Bledel can act, though.
I'm still depressed. It's hard to get through class. The energy and enthusiasm is largely feigned. I do love these books, and yet it's hard to be excited about teaching them. this is partly the midterm blahs. Thank God after this week we have a movie.
