fun day!

Today J and I went to Travis Marine on Lake Loudoun, where they were having a boat show. They let us test-drive a Sea Doo. It was my first time on one. I was leery at first and I really didn't see why J likes them, but riding it with J driving was so much fun! The sun was bright and the lake was beautiful. We saw some birds and there was a nice breeze on the water. We were wearing street clothes and only got a little wet. We got up to maybe 30 mph, fast enought to scare us. It was great! As we were in idle going past the marina I was thinking about all the rich people in Knoxville and what it means that some people have so much while some people have so little. I felt a little guilt about Africa while I was on the jetski, but little enough that I could rationalize it. If I had one of those big yachts, I couldn't live with myself.

Tonight we went to a party at ktron's where we met a lot of her dancer friends. Last night we had people over to play Star Wars monopoly. I was winning for a little while. It's been a very social weekend. Tomorrow we go to my mother's for mothers day.

Sadly, because I'm having so much fun, I'm behind on working towards my goals. Fun day anyway.
