quote from a Starbucks cup
Mar. 7th, 2006 11:45 amThe Way I See It #76: "The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating--in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life." --Anne Morriss
I have quite the little tyrant in my head. I think if I were committed to success in work or in health above momentary pleasure, I could really focus on it and get the tyrant on my side. As it is, I'm busy dulling it with caffeine and sugar.
