health update
Jan. 15th, 2008 09:28 pmMy diet is going reasonably well. I'm not unduly irritated by it. I think I've only lost about 3 pounds. 3 pounds is good, but I was hoping for that big initial loss like I've had before. Sure, it's usually just water loss, but I would take it. More importantly, I do feel much better. My nutrition is better. I'm less hungry when I get fruits and veggies.
The exercise is hard. Mostly because I keep hurting myself. Last week I walked about 25 minutes in my mary janes, and that night my feet were throbbing. I have trouble with my plantar fascia, so I have to be careful. I've been icing my feet and using tape to help reduce strain. I took a day off from the gym, then carefully went back. Tonight though I'm not at the gym. Basically I feel like I have a lot of stuff to catch up on and I'm tired and need a break. Tomorrow it's back to the gym.
I like my gym. It's bright and clean and cheerful. But even so sometimes I just want to lie on my couch.
