Wouldn't it be nice to wake up this way? Mostly I have to drag myself out of bed and think about what I have to do today. Not what I get to do or what I'm looking forward to, but what I must accomplish. Honestly I waste a good part of each day. J wants us to live forever, but I'm wondering whether I deserve to live forever when I don't fully live right now. On the other hand, at this rate it will take me several centuries to accomplish what people like Hillary and Gilbert & Gubar and Keats and Alison have accomplished in a few decades, or a few years.

Sowing the seeds of love

Yesterday I raked our front yard, then spread lime and fertilizer. Today I spread grass seeds and covered them with hay. I actually bought a hay bale, which still seems weird and quaint. In the process, I discovered I am allergic to hay. I still have some hives, even after the benadryl. I'm so used to just having sinus reactions that I tend to suspect my allergies are purely mental. Seeing my skin swell was, well, not exactly welcome, but at least an affirmation.
