At my WW meeting this week, the leader's quote for the day was "You won't give up a habit until you don't need it anymore."
In the context of WW, this means you won't stop eating lots of Brach's pumpkins until either the condition that prompted you to do it ends, or you fulfill the condition in some other way. So, for example, if I'm snacking because I'm tired, then I can try to satisfy the fatigue in some other way (like taking a nap). If I take a nap, then I don't need to snack because I've taken care of my fatigue. If I'm snacking because I'm worried, then writing a journal or talking to someone will be more beneficial than the food. I'll decrease my stress without feeling guilty or overloaded with sugar.
So far this year I've lost 28 pounds. I still stress eat, but I'm getting better.
