Today Judson and I worked out in the yard, mostly hauling leaves and branches to the street. I enjoyed just being outside on a lovely sunny warm day. I'm also enjoying the slow but sure progress we're making with the yard. This morning we met with a tree guy to take down our 100-year-old red oak that has died and is slowly dropping limbs on our roof. He wants a LOT of money for it. But so did the last guy we talked to. It's amazing how much it costs to cut down a big tree.

Last night we went to see Watchmen with a friend. First we had dinner at Tomato Head, and then because we had time and it was First Friday, we popped into two art galleries. The movie was enjoyable; I'd like to see it again. Afterward we went to a little Coffee & Chocolates store just off Market Square to hash over the movie. It was a perfect night.

Tonight I'm going on a bird outing to view American Woodcocks at Forks of the River WMA. After that, I really have to start catching up on work!
