Tweets make us all into twits.
May. 17th, 2009 10:26 amI've been lamenting for the past two months the decline of the LiveJournal posts. What happened to all the great updates and reflections? I'll tell you: Facebook and Twitter. I started using Facebook last fall, I think. I enjoyed it at first. It's fast, and I enjoy getting quick updates on people. It took me a while to notice that the quick updates were replacing the longer reflections on LiveJournal. We send minibursts of information that make it difficult to convey personality or reflections or deep feelings, and I think that's a shame. That being said, you will observe that my own public posting rate has declined. I've been using Facebook as a quick substitute, too. I am going to try to make at least one biweekly public post. That doesn't seem like too much.
