The strange weather the past couple of days has been good for bird-sighting around the yard. Yesterday around noon I saw a dozen species around my feeder within a 20-minute window. I hadn't seen gold finches for a while, so it was especially nice to see them. Later in the day I saw a Flicker in my front yard. There have been large flocks of American Robins at the office, around 60 twittering in some ornamental trees. And this afternoon I saw a Red-Shouldered Hawk land in our front yard and take off again. I haven't been bird-watching in over a month, but it looks like a good time to go again.
