having fun!

Today was the first day of class, and I got to meet with honors kids. This is my first honors class! Yay! They actually *asked questions* about the syllabus. Usually I have to drag that out of them. They generally laughed at my witticisms, so that's encouraged, and they're all exciting about the multimedia research project I've assigned. What I'm most enjoying right now is that I asked them all to send me an email introducing themselves. It's been fun to keep getting personal mail and to reply to them. I try to encourage them and answer questions and tell them to do something social sometimes for their sanity. I think I'm going to push the CarniVol Down Under Friday night at the U.C.
