I woke up this morning to light streaming in the windows, bouncing off of the snow cover. It was like summer, very cheerful. We have between 1/2-1 inch of snow cover at our house. It's the best kind of snow: one that leaves the roads clear and that feels like it's gently brushing against you when you walk. I'm at work now, and I can see that a lot of it has melted in the sun. On the other hand, it's snowing again in a steady shower.
Let me clarify to my Yankee friends that this is probably the most snow we'll get all year. That's why I'm excited. I know in February you're used to 2-foot snowdrifts, but it's different down here.
