Ditching the sweets

I actually lost about 6 pounds this week because last week was horrendous. I'm glad I didn't record it. Perhaps the effects of too much salt. This week regardless has been awesome. I ditched sweets. I noticed I was bingeing a lot on them and still wanting more. I have a real addiction problem with them. I haven't quit cold turkey, but I made a rule: I can't buy any sweets. I can eat what I already have, but not more. And I can have all the bread I want. This has worked pretty well. I still want sweets, but I'm not unhappy about it. I've been able to have some sweets on occasion, and the substitute of bread or fruit has worked the other times.
I'm going to venture to get a pint of frozen yogurt this week. I have to be careful with it, though. The small container should help prevent bingeing.
