I bought the book I was talking about and started reading it last night. I think it shook up some things inside me, because I had some bad dreams this morning about the MLA. I was supposed to have an interview but they were running late and needed to reschedule and then said it wouldn't even really be worth it because I wasn't a top choice. A hopeful sign (for my psyche) is that there was one person who stood up for me and said my research was really promising, it just needed to be updated some. He wrote some stuff on the board. He was maybe 50, white hair. So they rescheduled me. But during the interview they didn't pay hardly any attention to me, it was like they were having a party and just asked me some cursory questions.

I'll be soooo glad to be off the job market. I'm taking a year off next year so i can write.

So far in the book I'm learning abut different parts of the brain, and about how even envisioning where you want to go can really help you by activating the right muscles that it takes to do the task. Parts of our brain get weak, they atrophy, and they need exercise so we can use them.

It's always struck me that your dreams are very lucid, and often either prescient or thought-provoking... Mine, of course, and filled with drug-induced haze and unicorns:)

Keep shifting in tiny minute amounts mentally, and things settle more, or so I think after my first 1.5 years of therapy 4x a month.
