I really like birds. I find that watching them and learning about them increases my appreciation of the world I live in. But what I really really like is thinking. It's hard sometimes, like now. This summer I have to finish the revision of my book and get it to the publisher by the end of August. And it's been incredibly painful and hard. I've been very anxious. And yet I'm enjoying myself. I think the project is worthwhile, and sometimes I actually enjoy the challenge.
Of course, I'm changeable. The other day I was thinking about car wrecks and what would happen if I died, and I thought, "at least I wouldn't have to finish the book." Some days it's harder than others to be brave.
