WW Week 18
Mar. 24th, 2014 09:56 pmWeek's loss: 0
Total loss: -17.4
This is an okay result, especially following a 5-pound loss last week, but I'm disappointed. I ate really healthfully last week. It was my lowest points-week since starting. And yet no result. Hopefully the results will show next week, but that means of course I have to continue to be vigilant.
The key to last week's low numbers was cutting wheat. Some of my friends are doing the Wheat Belly diet, so I thought I would try cutting wheat and seeing what happened. I discovered that my appetite was much decreased. I didn't have any other positive benefits, perhaps because I cheated several times or because it was only a week.
I'm a firm believer in Weight Watchers, who says there are no "bad" foods. I don't believe in no-carb diets or Paleo, etc. All you need is to reduce calorie intake and increase calorie output to lose weight, while also getting 5 fruits/veg per day for nutrients. I found this was easier to do on a wheatless plan. I ate a lot more vegetables, for instance.
Today though I'm really hungry. Maybe it's because I had a small piece of naan last night? Or maybe I'm just feeling the after-effects of a low-calorie, high-activity week.
