Weeks 23 & 24
May. 9th, 2014 09:04 amWeek 23 gain: +0.6
Week 24 gain: +0.8
Total loss: -17.4
These are tiny gains, and some people would say not to worry about them. But here's the thing. If you gain half a pound every week, that's 26 pounds in a year. That's how I got into this situation in the first place.
I haven't been very disciplined. The wheat experiment has ended, and in relief I indulged in a variety of breads and baked goods. This phenomenon is something that Weight Watchers warns about, and why they say there is no "bad" food. If you simply cut something out, you'll feel deprived. The key instead is all things in moderation. I can have cheesecake if I want, but just a small slice and it needs to fit into the day's plan.
I haven't been tracking, and that has to change. For a while I was using an email draft to track. It's convenient because it's there wherever I go. But it's a bad idea because I forget. I've ordered a new 3-month tracker.
The plan for this week is to enjoy good things in moderation. Also, to start doing floor exercises at night (sit-ups, leg lifts).
